1. Acceptance of Terms
By downloading, installing, or using the VinylAI application ("App") or visiting vinylai.app ("Website"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use our services.
2. Description of Service
VinylAI provides a vinyl record companion app and website that includes:
- Barcode scanning and record identification
- Record store finder and directory
- Collection tracking and valuation
- Price alerts and market data
- Community features and content
3. Third-Party Services
VinylAI integrates with third-party services to provide comprehensive record information. By using VinylAI, you also agree to the terms and policies of these third-party services.
Discogs
Data on releases, artists, covers, and market prices are provided via the Discogs API. Discogs is owned and operated by Zink Media, LLC. All rights belong to their respective owners.
By using VinylAI, you acknowledge and agree to the following Discogs policies:
Apple EULA
By using this app, you agree to the Apple Standard End User License Agreement (EULA).
4. User Accounts
To access certain features, you must create an account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities under your account. You must be at least 13 years old to create an account.
5. User Content
You retain ownership of content you create (reviews, ratings, comments). By posting content, you grant VinylAI a non-exclusive, worldwide license to display and distribute your content within the service. You agree not to post content that is:
- Illegal, harmful, or offensive
- Infringing on intellectual property rights
- Spam, advertising, or misleading
- Containing malware or malicious code
6. Pricing Data
Market prices and valuations shown in VinylAI are estimates based on publicly available data. They are provided for informational purposes only and do not constitute financial advice or guaranteed sale prices. Actual transaction prices may vary.
7. Store Listings
Record store information is compiled from public sources and user contributions. While we strive for accuracy, we cannot guarantee that store details (hours, location, inventory) are always up to date. Always verify with the store directly before visiting.
8. Intellectual Property
The VinylAI name, logo, app design, and website content are protected by copyright and trademark laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without our written permission.
9. Limitation of Liability
VinylAI is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service, including but not limited to financial losses from pricing data or store information.
10. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms. You may delete your account at any time through the App settings. Upon termination, your right to use the service ceases, but these Terms will continue to apply to prior use.
11. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms. We will notify you of significant changes through the App.
12. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which VinylAI operates. Any disputes shall be resolved in the competent courts of that jurisdiction.
