About this record
Two matrix strings are stamped into the dead wax of this German pressing, both reading MASTERDISK ACCEPT-A and ACCEPT-B "Metal Heart" B-2106 with an A-2 and B-2 suffix, which is the first thing to check before anything else. Demand is steady rather than frantic: 136 collectors want it while 782 have it in their collection.
The release is an RCA Schallplatten GmbH stereo LP from 1985, made in Germany, with ten tracks.
What drives its value
The price guide for this pressing runs from 43.32 USD in Mint down to 20.52 USD in VG, with a VG+ figure of 29.64 USD and an NM figure of 38.76 USD, all listed as estimates in the guide. The current market snapshot shows a lowest asking price of 10 USD across 11 copies for sale, so the supply side is thin and asking prices sit well below the guide's upper grades.
Demand is the reason copies keep moving: 136 want against 782 have. Because this is the German RCA issue rather than a reissue, its position among the other pressings listed for the title is what anchors its value, and the catalogue and matrix details tie it to the original run.
How to appraise this pressing
Confirm the pressing by reading the dead wax first. The two runout strings are MASTERDISK ACCEPT-A "Metal Heart" B-2106 A-2 on side one and MASTERDISK ACCEPT-B "Metal Heart" B-2106 B-2 on side two.
Check that the label reads RCA with catalogue number PL 70638 (also written PL70638), that the copyright line reads 1985 RCA Schallplatten GmbH, and that Made in Germany and Fabrique en Allemagne are printed. A blue printed innersleeve with lyrics should be present, and the GEMA and BIEM notice should be separately boxed.
The Tour sticker is removable, so its presence or absence does not by itself confirm or rule out the pressing. Grade the disc by eye and by feel, comparing against the price guide's Mint through Poor tiers, and grade the sleeve and innersleeve separately from the vinyl.

How do I confirm this is the German RCA pressing?
Read the dead wax for the matrix strings MASTERDISK ACCEPT-A and ACCEPT-B "Metal Heart" B-2106 with the A-2 and B-2 suffixes, and check for catalogue number PL 70638 with the RCA label and the Made in Germany line.
What is the cheapest copy currently listed?

Does the Tour sticker affect the value?
