About this record
Stamped in the dead wax, the runout S3RS-3343 and S3RS-3344 tie this LSOD-2005 to the RCA Records Pressing Plant in Hollywood. Side one's label misprints track A5 as "I Have Confidence In Me", while the back cover correctly reads "I Have Confidence".
That label error is the first thing to check when identifying this US stereo first issue of the 1965 soundtrack.
What drives its value
The price_guide runs from 58.15 USD at VG to 122.75 USD at Mint, with 109.83 USD at NM and 83.99 USD at VG+. Currently 89 copies are listed for sale, and the lowest listed price is 1.08 USD, so condition and seller choice drive the spread.
Demand is steady: 17868 collectors have this release in their collection and 737 want it. The community rating stands at 3.96 from 615 ratings.
Among other_pressings, the 1965 Argentina issue (AVL-3586) and the 1965 UK issue (RB.6616) are separate releases, so buyers should not treat them as the same US original. This US original is the reference point for value.
How to appraise this pressing
Start with the label. The catalogue number LSOD-2005 appears alongside LSOD 2005 on the label, and the stereo variant is identified by the "An Original Soundtrack Recording" text placed above the title rather than at the sides at 3 and 9 o'clock.
Next, check the dead wax. Side one reads S3RS-3343 with an S3RS-3343-1S H A style matrix, and side two reads S3RS-3344 with an S3RS-3344-12S H C style matrix.
Runouts exist both stamped and etched, so note which method is present. The pressing plant is the RCA Records Pressing Plant, Hollywood.
A mono LOCD 2005 copy is a different release. Grade the disc with the sleeve in hand: the sleeve should carry the 8 page color Original Soundtrack Album And Storybook insert, and the spine should read the full title as printed.
Any reissue will show a gatefold sleeve or the Winner of 5 Academy Awards front print instead.

The original issue has the single LSOD 2005 catalogue number with no gatefold sleeve. Reissues from the same number carry a gatefold sleeve or a Winner of 5 Academy Awards front print, and RE, RE-2, RE3 and RE4 marks printed on the sleeve.
Is the misprint on the label a sign of a rare copy?
The misprint is track A5 printed as "I Have Confidence In Me" on the label, while the back cover reads "I Have Confidence". Its presence confirms the pressing but the price_guide does not separate misprint copies from others.
