About this record
Track durations are printed differently on the back sleeve and on the disc label of this Polydor 835 544-0 release, so the timings are the first thing to check. The sleeve lists 7:20 / 7:26 / 5:23 / 7:49 / 5:36 / 5:40, while the disc label gives 7:23 / 7:14 / 5:18 / 8:00 / 5:43 and omits any duration for "Solo una sana...".
Pressed by PDO in Hannover, West Germany, this 1988 Zucchero mini-album is a limited edition compilation of six tracks.
What drives its value
The price guide puts this German Polydor pressing at 22.10 USD in Mint, 19.77 USD in Near Mint, 15.12 USD in VG+, and 10.47 USD in VG, with a floor of 5.22 USD and 14 copies currently for sale. Demand is modest: the community lists 157 owners against 18 collectors who want a copy, and the 13 ratings average 3.92.
Because the release notes describe an original PDO-manufactured German run rather than a reissue, grade and completeness of the sleeve carry the price, and the wide spread from VG to Mint is the main driver. Any copy you find with a different duration listing or a missing disc insert should be compared against these figures before you price it.
How to appraise this pressing
Start with the catalogue number 835 544-0 on the spine and label, then confirm the German Deutsche Grammophon address on the back sleeve and the line "Manufactured by PDO, Hannover, West Germany" with publisher Gruppo Intersong s.r.l. The durations are the key cross-check: the sleeve should read 7:20, 7:26, 5:23, 7:49, 5:36, 5:40, and the disc label should read 7:23, 7:14, 5:18, 8:00, 5:43, with no time beside "Solo una sana...".
There is no barcode on this release, so do not rely on one for identification. Grade the disc and sleeve separately, and note whether the limited edition marking is printed on the cover.
