RSD Black Friday 2026 UK: Date, Full List and Participating Record Shops

Status, updated 12 October 2026: the UK list was published on 6 October 2026. Below is every title on the official Record Store Day UK list with its format and label, sorted by artist, and whether the same title is also on the US list. The UK list does not publish quantities — for the American quantities of shared titles, see the full US list.

150 titles for 314 participating shops in the UK and Ireland. 110 of them are also on the US list; 40 are on the UK list only.

Friday 27 November 2026. Black Friday follows American Thanksgiving, so the UK date is the same day as in the US. Record Store Day UK’s rule is that the releases are available from 8am on the day; shops set their own opening hours around that, and the busiest ones have queues well before. Ireland takes part on the same day under the same UK list.

There is no online sale on the day: the releases are for people who walk into a participating shop. What a shop does with unsold copies afterwards, and when, is up to the shop, so ask yours rather than relying on a date from another country.

The two lists overlap but are not the same. Of the 150 UK titles, 110 also appear on the US list and 40 are UK-only — among them Madness’s How The West Was One: Hammersmith Odeon 23rd December 1980, Frankie Goes To Hollywood’s Relax: The Complete Story, Black Sabbath’s Technical Ecstasy, Jessie Ware’s Ride / Sauna extended versions, Rose Gray, The Lathums, Knats live in Newcastle, Momoko Gill’s BBC Maida Vale session and The Coral’s acoustic Butterfly House. Going the other way, the US list has 187 titles, so many American releases are not sold in UK shops at all.

Shared titles can still differ in detail: format, colour or label can change between territories, and only the US list prints quantities. If you are buying a US-only title, you will be paying import prices after the day, not queueing for it here.

314 independent shops across the UK and Ireland are participating. The official store locator on recordstoreday.co.uk is the authoritative list of who is in — participation is decided shop by shop and changes from event to event, so do not assume your local shop is taking part because it did in April.

No pre-orders and no reservations: the releases are sold on the day, to the people in the shop. Many shops limit each customer to one copy of each title, as they do in April, and some hand out numbered tickets or run a list at the counter rather than letting customers browse the racks — rules vary, so check your shop’s social feed in the week before.

The UK list does not include prices; each shop prices its own stock. Bring a short list and a second choice, and if two shops near you take part, start with the one that matters most for your first choice — allocations are uneven, and a title gone in ten minutes in one shop can still be on the shelf a few miles away.

Mostly not. Across the Record Store Day releases from 2023 to 2026 that we measured on Discogs, the median title is being asked for less than it cost new, and only one or two a year reach three figures — the ones with very large want lists, which you can see before the day.
