VinylAI support

Questions about the VinylAI app or the VinylAI app inside ChatGPT? Start here.

Contact us

Write to [email protected]. Tell us which app you use (iPhone, iPad, Mac, Android or ChatGPT) and the email address of your VinylAI account if you have one.

Disconnect VinylAI from ChatGPT

You can end the connection at any time, without contacting us:

  1. Open ChatGPT and go to Settings.
  2. Open your apps (connected apps) and choose Vinyl Record Scanner - VinylAI.
  3. Choose Disconnect.

After that, ChatGPT can no longer read or add to your VinylAI collection. The records you already saved stay in your VinylAI account until you delete it.

Delete your VinylAI account

Deleting your account removes your records, your signed-in devices and every ChatGPT connection.

In the app

Open Settings, then Account & Sync, then Delete account. The collection stored on your device stays unless you remove it yourself.

By email

No app, or only used ChatGPT? Write to [email protected] from the email address of the account and ask us to delete it. We answer within 30 days. The deletion removes all your records and all ChatGPT connections.

Common questions

No. You can identify records from a photo or a catalog number inside ChatGPT without installing anything. To save a record you sign in once with your email address and a 6-digit code. The collection you build there opens in the VinylAI app on iPhone, iPad, Mac and Android when you sign in with the same email.
The app shows the records of the account you are signed in to. Sign in to the app with the same email address you used in ChatGPT. A different email address is a different account, and its records are kept separately. After signing in, the records appear within a minute or so, once the app has synced.
No. A photo is read in memory and dropped when the request ends. We keep only the text read from the photo, tied to a fingerprint of the image, for up to 7 days so the same photo is not read twice. The section on AI assistants in our privacy policy lists exactly what we receive, why, who gets it and how long we keep it.
Yes. Every feature of the app works without an account, and your collection stays on your device. An account is optional: it backs up your records and syncs them between your devices. You sign in with your email address and a 6-digit code, with no password to remember.
Popular albums have hundreds of pressings, so a photo of the cover alone often cannot tell them apart. Send a clear photo of the label or of the runout etching in the dead wax, or type the catalog number. If the result is still wrong, write to [email protected] with the photo and what the record really is.

How we handle your data is described in our privacy policy.
