you seem pretty sad for a girl so in love: every vinyl variant
The new album is a single 13-track LP in a gatefold. What changes from edition to edition is the color, the cover and the extras: a poster, an alternate cover, a pop-up sleeve, a lenticular jacket or a signed insert. The table lists every official vinyl edition Discogs had catalogd by 12 October 2026, with the number of Discogs users who own each, summed over its US and European pressings. That number is not a pressing quantity; it is the best public measure of how many copies are in collectors' hands.

Discogs owners = how many Discogs users log a copy, checked 12 October 2026: a measure of how many copies are in collectors' hands, not a pressing quantity. No store or label published copy counts for these editions.
Billboard reported that first-week sales were "boosted by its availability across more than 15 physical formats", including two signed editions. That count covers CDs and cassettes as well; the vinyl alone is the ten editions above. The most-owned special edition is the signed 180-gram black, which says more about how many fans want a signature than about scarcity.
Target exclusives and the store-only blue
Target's launch fact sheet listed four exclusive music releases for the album: three vinyl variants and one CD, available from 12 June 2026, plus a fan event at Target Burbank.
- "pretty sad" pink vinyl: exclusive alternate cover art and a poster. In Europe a baby-pink version with the same alternate artwork was sold as a retail exclusive.
- "hope like snow" white vinyl: with an exclusive poster. The hype sticker reads "only at Target, limited edition".
- "never looked so blue": a limited run sold only at Target Burbank, Target SoHo and in limited quantities on Target.com, with alternate artwork and a number-stamped jacket. A European in-store version also exists.
"never looked so blue" is the scarcest edition of the album by Discogs owners: 674 for the US copy and 1,065 for the European one. The US copy's number stamp is the way to tell it from a recolored fake. No store published a copy count for it, so any listing that quotes one is repeating a fan estimate.
GUTS vinyl variants
GUTS (8 September 2023) had the most inventive variant scheme of Rodrigo's three albums. The official webstore sold four colors that together spell the title, G (red), U (white), T (blue) and S (purple), and each one hides a different bonus track at the end of side B. The standard black LP and most retail colors hide "obsessed". That makes GUTS one of the few modern pop albums where the variants differ in music, not just in color.
| Edition | Vinyl | Sold through | How limited, and when | Catalog no. | Discogs owners |

In July 2024 the deluxe GUTS (spilled) followed as a 2LP on clear vinyl with red splatter, with five more songs and a blank side D. A red marbled pressing was the "RSD First" release for Record Store Day Black Friday on 29 November 2024; see our RSD Black Friday guide for how those exclusives are allocated. For the first anniversary, on 13 September 2024, the webstore sold a marbled silver repress.
SOUR vinyl variants
SOUR came out on vinyl on 20 August 2021, three months after the album, and its variants are the most widely owned of the three because they were reissued for years:

The Target edition, translucent blue with alternate artwork and a poster, has been the defining SOUR variant from the start: 19,740 Discogs owners for the 2021 pressing alone and 38,570 across all four Target pressings, the last of which (2024) added a Target obi strip. The webstore's "crystal vellum" (clear with a blue-purple tint) is the webstore edition; Amazon in the US had a violet translucent that Discogs users describe as ranging from maroon to deep purple; Cultura in France had a blue neon translucent; and the first anniversary on 21 May 2022 brought baby pink for independent stores, "fruit punch" for Urban Outfitters and a light blue transparent for general retail.
Signed Olivia Rodrigo vinyl
"olivia rodrigo signed vinyl" is searched more than most variant names, and the answer differs by album:
- you seem pretty sad for a girl so in love: a 180-gram black LP with a signed 12-by-12-inch insert from the US and Canadian webstore; European webstore bundles of "Static Lover" and "sticky sweet" with a separately packed signed art card; and a "spark in the dark" copy with a signed card.
- GUTS: a signed 180-gram black LP with a 12-by-12-inch print from the webstores, signed cards with some G-U-T-S colors, and a numbered, signed Sea Foam Green "shop in shop" retail exclusive.
- SOUR: signed art-card bundles with the webstore crystal vellum LP.
Two practical points. A signed insert or art card is a separate piece of paper, so a "signed" listing must show the insert with the record, and the barcode on official signed bundles often differs from the unsigned edition. And a signature on the jacket itself is not how any of these editions was sold; treat it as a private autograph that needs its own provenance. Our guide to spotting fake and bootleg vinyl covers the rest.
Is the Olivia Rodrigo lenticular vinyl limited edition?
Yes. The lenticular cover belongs to the "Feminine Intuition" edition of the new album: pink marble vinyl in a lenticular gatefold, released on 12 June 2026. Rodrigo promoted it as a limited edition in her store (Newsweek), and Discogs files it as the Apple Music fans-first exclusive. It has 4,931 Discogs owners as of 12 October 2026, roughly as many as the standard black's two pressings combined, so it is limited by sales channel rather than rare. No quantity was published.
The lenticular jacket is also the easiest edition to identify: the cover image shifts as you tilt it, and no other edition of the album has that jacket. If a lenticular copy is offered on a different vinyl color than pink marble, it is not the official edition.
How to tell Olivia Rodrigo variants apart
Rodrigo's editions are easier to identify than most, because so many of them change the cover as well as the color. Work through these checks:
- Hype sticker and barcode. Each edition has its own catalog number, printed on a sticker on the shrink: 00199957611374 for Target's "pretty sad", 00199957611398 for "hope like snow", 199957611404 for the US "never looked so blue". The standard "spark in the dark" is 00199957611336.
- Jacket. "pretty sad" and "never looked so blue" use alternate artwork; "Static Lover" has a pop-up gatefold; "Feminine Intuition" is lenticular. If the jacket is standard, the record is one of the color-only editions.
- Number stamp. "never looked so blue" has a stamped number on the jacket, on both the US and European copies; the signed GUTS Sea Foam Green is numbered on the back.
- The hidden track, for GUTS. Play the end of side B: "scared of my guitar", "stranger" or "girl i've always been" means a webstore U, T or S copy; "obsessed" means the standard, the G copy or a retail color.
The runout is less useful. On the new album most editions carry the standard's number, 00199957611336, in the dead wax; Target's "pretty sad" is the exception, with its own 00199957611374. For counterfeits, see our fake and bootleg vinyl guide.
Which Olivia Rodrigo vinyl variants hold value
We are not publishing price figures on this page. eBay hides completed sales behind a login, so we could not take a dated sample, and we do not reuse Discogs marketplace prices. The owner counts give the supply picture as of 12 October 2026:
- Scarcest: "never looked so blue" (674 US, 1,065 Europe) and "carve our names" picture disc (887), then the European pressings of the GUTS webstore colors (823 to 2,129 each).
- Middle: the signed GUTS "shop in shop" Sea Foam Green (1,894) and the Spotify editions of both new albums.
- Common: the SOUR Target blue (38,570 across pressings) and the GUTS magenta alternate cover (18,613).
The general rule for new releases applies here: demand peaks in the release month and drops sharply after it. Our Keyword Planner pull shows "olivia rodrigo vinyl" searches in the US rising to about 22,000 in June 2026 and falling to about 10,000 the month after. Prices of limited variants usually follow the same curve, so the cheapest time to buy a variant you missed is rarely the first weeks after release. Grade any copy with the vinyl grading guide and compare completed sales, not asking prices. VinylAI identifies the release from a photo of the cover or label; inside sealed shrink it cannot see the vinyl color, so check the barcode sticker.
